Trace data shortly before disconnect

Hello,

I'm evaluating Spotlight for a customer and this customer has the following scenario which I have simulated with to virtual machines.

On the first server runs a Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 Standard which from time to time gets a sql query which puts a very high load on the server so that the server becomes unresponsive. On the second server runs Spotlight with SQL Analysis enabled and collecting every 5 Minutes. Now when the SQL Server becomes unresponsive I have no chance of seeing the queries which are running at this time. The tabs in Spotlight just show no data collected at this time. The trace is running on the server side, shouldn't Spotlight be able to read the trace from the server after it becomes responsive again? Do you see another way to get this data?

Kind regards,

Daniel
